Secure access
How to Give Us Safe Access
We never ask for passwords in request forms or by email. When your job is ready to start, choose one of these simple options.
-
Easiest
Paste your login on our secure page
Best for most people. No technical steps.
- Open the private link in your payment email, or open your ticket.
- Type the username and password you use to sign in to WordPress.
- Click Share Securely. Need to send more than one login? Click Add another login.
Your details are encrypted, only WPSE can see them, and they are deleted automatically when the job is done.
-
No password shared
Add WPSE as a user
For people who prefer not to share their own password.
- Sign in to WordPress and go to Users, then Add New.
- Enter info@wpse.co as the email and any username, such as wpse.
- Set the role to Administrator and click Add New User.
WordPress emails us a link to set our own password. When the job is done, you can delete this user.
-
Site not loading?
Hosting access
Only needed when the site or wp-admin will not open, or for a move to a new host.
- On the secure page, choose "Hosting account" and enter the login for the account where you pay for your hosting.
- Have FTP details? Choose "FTP / SFTP" instead. Do not know them? Just share your hosting login and we will find the rest.
- Not sure what to send? Reply on your ticket and we will tell you exactly what we need.
Many hosts also let you invite a team member. If yours does, you can invite us by email instead.
When the Job Is Done
- We delete any access details you shared and email you to confirm.
- If you shared your password, change it. If you added a WPSE user, you can delete it.
- Never send passwords by email, chat, or in request forms, to us or anyone else.
Questions? Email info@wpse.co or send us a message, without passwords.
